Why visit Iouik?

Iouik is a small fishing village in the heart of Banc d'Arguin National Park, inhabited by the Imraguen people — a traditional fishing community that has lived here for centuries, using hand-woven nets and sailing pirogues. The village is a base for exploring the park's extraordinary birdlife and coastal landscapes. Life here revolves around the sea and the tides.
