Qrendi

Qrendi is a tranquil, traditional village nestled in the southwestern part of Malta. Known for its slow pace of life and rural charm, Qrendi is of immense historical and archaeological significance, as its boundaries contain some of the oldest freestanding stone structures on Earth. The village itself is characterized by narrow, winding streets, traditional limestone houses with decorated facades, and a peaceful central square dominated by the parish church.

Qrendi is best reached by bus or car from Valletta or the Malta International Airport, both of which are relatively close. While the village center is easily explored on foot, reaching the coastal attractions such as the megalithic temples and Wied iż-Żurrieq is most convenient via local bus routes, rental car, or taxi. Well-maintained walking paths also connect the village to these nearby sites.
