Oxbow is a mountain resort area in Botha-Bothe District, in the Maloti Mountains of northern Lesotho. It is known for its spectacular alpine scenery, trout fishing, and hiking trails. The area sits at over 2,500 m elevation, offering cool summer temperatures and snowy winters.

How do you get there?

By Plane

The nearest airport is Moshoeshoe I International Airport (IATA: MSU), about 150 km southwest.

By Car / Road

Oxbow is accessible via the Moteng Pass from Butha-Buthe, about 40 km east. The road is paved but steep and winding. A 4WD is not essential but recommended in winter.

Hiking is the primary way to explore the area. Local guides are available.
