Maghdouche

Maghdouche is a hilltop town ~10 km east of Sidon, an important Christian pilgrimage site. The Shrine of Our Lady of Mantara is where the Virgin Mary is said to have waited while Jesus preached in Sidon.

The climate is Mediterranean with warm dry summers and mild wet winters. The best times to visit are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when temperatures are pleasant.

From Sidon, head east up the hill to Maghdouche.
