Why visit Manas?

Manas is a village in Talas Region, northwestern Kyrgyzstan, named after the legendary hero of the Kyrgyz epic. It lies in the Talas Valley, about 20 km east of Talas town, near the main road that runs the length of the valley. The village is quiet and rural, with a small population engaged in agriculture and livestock herding.

The Talas Ala-Too mountains rise on both sides of the valley, providing a dramatic setting. The climate is continental: warm summers (25-30°C) and cold winters (-10 to -20°C). Spring and summer are the best times to visit. The village's proximity to the Manas Ordo complex makes it a possible base for exploring the area, though Talas town offers more services.
