Why visit Amboseli National Park?

Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most iconic and photogenic wildlife reserves, located in Kajiado County at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park covers 392 km² of open plains, acacia woodland, swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro, and sulphur springs. It is world-famous for its large herds of elephants, which are among the most studied in Africa, and for the breathtaking backdrop of Africa's highest mountain. The park is also home to Maasai communities living around its borders.
