Overview

Mamou is a region in central Guinea, at the southern edge of the Fouta Djallon plateau. The capital is Mamou town. The region is known for its mountainous landscapes and the village of Dalaba, a historic hill station with colonial-era buildings. The area is agricultural, with rice, coffee, and fruit production.
