San Pedro Yepocapa

Why visit San Pedro Yepocapa?
San Pedro Yepocapa is a municipality in the southwestern part of the Chimaltenango department of Guatemala, located on the southern slopes of the Acatenango volcano in the transitional zone between the highlands and the Pacific lowlands. The town has a predominantly indigenous population of around 20,000 and is known for its coffee production. San Pedro Yepocapa sits at around 1,400 meters elevation, with a warmer climate (16–30°C) than most Chimaltenango department towns.
The economy is based on coffee cultivation — the volcanic slopes around Yepocapa produce some of Guatemala's finest coffee beans. The landscape features coffee plantations, river valleys, and tropical vegetation. The town is remote and has limited tourist infrastructure.
