By Plane

The nearest international airport is Athens Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) or Thessaloniki Makedonia (SKG), depending on the region. From the airport, rental cars and KTEL buses connect to Hydra.

By Car / Road

Hydra is accessible via Greece's national road network. KTEL intercity buses connect Hydra with major cities. Driving offers flexibility, especially for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Hydra is compact enough to explore on foot. For longer distances, local buses and taxis are available. Renting a car or scooter is the best way to explore the wider area independently.
