Ivindo National Park extends into eastern Ogooue-Lolo province, encompassing a portion of the Ivindo River basin and its spectacular waterfalls. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site protecting pristine equatorial rainforest. The Kongou and Mingouli waterfalls are the main draw, accessible from both Ogooue-Ivindo and Ogooue-Lolo sides. The forest is home to elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and a stunning diversity of birdlife.
