Waka National Park

Waka National Park is a 1,060 sq km rainforest reserve in Ngounie province, southern Gabon. The park protects a pristine forest habitat with populations of forest elephants, western lowland gorillas, chimpanzees, and mandrills. It is one of the less-visited Gabonese parks, offering a true rainforest experience for adventurous travellers. The park features several natural forest clearings (bais) where animals gather. Access is from Fougamou or Mouila via unpaved roads (4x4 required). A guide is necessary.

Camping in the park is possible with a guide. Basic accommodation in Fougamou.

There are no shops or restaurants inside the park. Bring all supplies from Fougamou or Mouila.
