Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, about 100-160 km west (2-3 hours); Limón Airport has limited domestic service. From the airport, Barbilla National Park can be reached by rental car, private transfer, or public bus.

By Train

Costa Rica has limited passenger rail service. Reaching Barbilla National Park by train is not practical.
