Overview

Mandoul is a province in southern Chad, part of the fertile Logone River basin. It is named after the Mandoul River, a tributary of the Logone. The province is a productive agricultural region known for cotton, rice, and livestock. The capital is Koumra.

The population is predominantly Sara and Ngambaye. The climate is tropical with a single rainy season from May to October.

When to Visit

The dry season (November–April) is best. Heavy rains from May to October can make roads difficult.
