Why visit?

Cuanza-Sul (Kwanza Sul) is a west-central Angolan province of about 55,660 km², named for the Kwanza River which runs along its northern border. It has a 180 km Atlantic coastline, with beaches at Kicombo, Carimbo, Chiculcua, and Porto Amboim's Praia da Marginal. Its capital, Sumbe (formerly Novo Redondo), is a coastal town roughly midway between Luanda and Benguela. The province spans coastal lowland and interior highland terrain, and its economy mixes coastal fishing with inland agriculture.
