Good to Know

Built for a gentle pace

Every Singapore day has a two-to-three-hour afternoon rest window, all Malaysia sightseeing is by private A/C car, and stair climbs (Batu Caves' 272 steps, temple towers) are skipped in favour of lift-accessible routes.

Pure-veg and Jain-friendly

Every listed restaurant is pure vegetarian or has a strong Jain menu; ask for no onion, garlic, potato or root vegetables and give hotels 24 hours' notice for set dinners.

Arrival cards and visa

Indian passport holders get visa-free short stays in both countries but must file the free Singapore Arrival Card and the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card within three days of each entry.

Getting around

Singapore runs on the Grab app door to door; a Singtel tourist SIM at Changi keeps you connected. In Malaysia the Skyline Holidays package covers all transfers and touring.

Book the towers ahead

Petronas Twin Towers timed entry sells out a week or more in advance - lock the golden-hour slot early, along with the Bird Paradise and Gardens by the Bay tickets.
